Subroutine 05:07
The ongoing search continues (If you're just now tuning in) For something obvious and vital, oh But the connection is lost again The words float oversea Currents start to drift subconsciously It brings down the rain From far away it sounds The call of the void, o can you hear me call out from a Sea of sparkling indie darlings I can't explain, nothing remains at all Better not to spend all my time pre-empting I swear I've got more important things! But what I can't control looms heavy And my perspective's foreshortening If you're still wondering why you're so empty inside Why no tide'll make the darkling subside The smoke from the fire you can see for miles Just like ships in the distant horizon 'Cause the glitch is heuristic The motion violent We're looking at one ugly allegory Just tell yourself, it doesn't matter It makes you strong to accept what you can't believe 'Cause what if it's never enough? When we've said all the stuff And our number is up I can't handle it at all You finally find a face In spite of everything And all the while you'll cling to The silver lining of sleeping alone The gods of intricate auspice tolerate less than you'd suppose Just stick with what you know Apart from intimate losses, even odds keep us on our toes It's all a part of the show Just act like you're in on the joke When they hand you a length of rope Enough to thread the needle or choke So take a sip from the poison cup It's to important to rely on luck When too much is just enough And you can't leave that bell unrung Focus your eyes Look to the interminable light And play the biggest fucking chess move of all time

Turn My mind about Get it all out, out, out No thoughts allowed! Last thing I recall, I's involved in an accident, I've been Paralyzed in a car crash of consonants It came and went In a literal life-long dream It seems Wake up and you'll see That an appetite's more than just A will to eat 'Cause your body's a tool that should fit its intended use What news! She had a wonderful name and a boring life Still much to lose She said I'm playing a slower game than most of you And if you don't believe What you saw The tension stems from a lack of resolve Your will is the whole of the law If your eyes will even open at all And it turns out the words I was trying so hard to find After wasting so much time That old elucidated line: I said, that was about enough to blow my mind!

Moments Back 01:57
Picture the instant the symmetry lines Start falling apart I'm up on a ladder just hemming and hawing A casuist stalling, still twisting and yawing But wait, before I latch onto the wrong idea Let me check if it sounds insincere As we hurdle toward the solstice It's forced us to make forfeit of Enormous bits of time so if you could be so kind as to Remind us of the nineties, the reason for your frisson Or what's commonly expressed as a series of near collisions Long anticipated, we waited on our next savior It hardly left us sated, but more on the later For now we'll just hope against all hope I said what I meant 'Cause the body doesn't care about intent Like, "boy you sure do got a funny way of saying 'amen'"

Hey, Ms. Green Peas Won't you scowl for me? Show me some teeth There's time yet to sink 'em in too deep Suspend The end Again Where have you been? --under my skin Imprint Your scent Relent Before I get it through my head What I've known all along: I built you up as an object of longing It won't last, but in the interim I'll be content To harness that fleeting sense That mania that hints "maybe this is it" If I can't overcome my dread Then I'll fake it instead Call you up, start the cycle all over again

I wonder when I got so delicate So tightly wound, with narrow threads More concerned with means than ends Tending to where my attention's lent And minding posture over posturing Please excuse the preaching Or the poison in my voice I gotta shout above the noise Hey you! Give yourself a little credit Spend it on a weekday's worth of whatever's left After you subtract what you want to want less What's reminding you it's not a choice?

Into the age of bad faith, we do what we can They all say, "there used to be a better way, but that was back then" And what's worse, they never put truer words into The mouths of bad men They're so vile Must love being vile If I wanted opinions on original sin Set to the sound of posers honing their knives I'd keep addressing the round Like it's going out of style (But it might be a while) Who knew they'd be so wild? In the onslaught of caveats and stilted appeals Where they're too busy counting every slight To think anything other than that's how we all are wired Well now I'm just so tired
